About the Role
At Jack Link's Casino production facility in NSW, Australia, we are seeking an experienced Quality Systems Lead to drive the implementation, upkeep, and continual enhancement of our Food Safety and Quality systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Food Safety & Quality, Operations, R&D, Technical, Regulatory, and partners from New Zealand to ensure compliance with product quality standards, food safety protocols, GFSI requirements, regulatory guidelines, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the New Zealand team to adopt and synchronize the Food Safety and Quality framework.
- Lead audits and assessments to verify adherence to GFSI, customer, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee and refine processing control standards to guarantee product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the site HACCP Coordinator, managing HACCP system reviews and implementations.
- Maintain and update the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database collaboratively with Technical and R&D teams.
- Develop and maintain specifications, work instructions, SOPs, and job aids within PLM/IL systems.
- Collaborate with R&D and Regulatory teams to assess new raw materials and product specifications.
- Identify potential allergen, labeling, or food safety risks arising from new materials or process modifications.
- Drive continuous improvement by spotting gaps and coordinating with stakeholders to enhance current procedures.
- Offer relief support for Site FSQ audit responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven expertise in food safety, quality assurance, technical quality systems, or related fields.
- Deep understanding of HACCP principles, food safety management systems, and GFSI certification standards.
- Capability to review, maintain, and improve quality systems, standards, and processes.
- Experience managing technical documentation including specifications and product information.
- Strong communication skills for engaging diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with PLM systems, audit procedures, specification management, allergens, labeling, and regulatory frameworks is highly valued.
