Role and Responsibilities
- Implement quality-related tasks throughout development projects until they are ready for production handover.
- Optimize quality processes, methods, and tools while facilitating the exchange of information and best practices between different regions and business units in collaboration with regional and business unit PQEs.
- Act as the customer interface for quality within projects and plan as well as execute quality tasks following OnePEP and lean quality management methodologies.
- Negotiate PPAP requirements including timing, content, and methods with customers; manage internal PPAP releases; and lead sampling procedures for deliverables including spare parts.
- Create and maintain control plans based on existing standards throughout the project lifecycle until series production.
- Assist in preparation for and participate in customer, internal, external, and if necessary, VDA 6.3 audits related to projects.
- Plan measurement and testing processes, participate in their procurement and validation by defining measurement concepts using aligned reference systems that consider part functionality and feasibility of measurement.
- Maintain consistent and effective cross-regional and business unit communication to facilitate global knowledge sharing and to derive lessons learned swiftly.
- Contribute to risk reduction by applying appropriate risk assessment tools and verifying the robustness of detection and prevention systems for characteristics involving CC, such as Reverse FMEA.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Familiarity with widely used quality tools and automotive industry standards such as IATF 16949 and APQP.
- Basic understanding of product liability laws and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Capability to make decisions grounded in data analysis.
- Effective communication skills tailored to various organizational levels.
- Awareness of legal compliance requirements.
