Role Summary

As the Quality Lead for High Security within Gallagher Security's Product Development team, you will provide both technical and leadership expertise to uphold and advance quality standards. Leading a skilled team of test analysts focused on our Government and Critical Infrastructure portfolios, you will ensure top-tier software quality through continuous improvements in testing methodologies, feedback mechanisms, and embedding quality throughout all stages of the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enhance quality standards, testing methodologies, and operational workflows within agile product teams.
• Integrate quality assurance early in planning, design, and delivery phases, facilitating swift feedback loops to identify and mitigate risks promptly.
• Promote and advance automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and related practices to minimize dependency on late-stage inspections and support reliable, sustainable change management.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Project, and Support teams to eliminate quality-related obstacles, advise on release readiness, and optimize delivery outcomes.
• Lead, mentor, and support team members in quality discipline, focusing on wellbeing, performance, professional development, and career progression.

Candidate Profile

• Over 10 years of substantial experience in software testing or quality engineering within agile frameworks.
• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing approaches.
• Skillful engagement with engineering teams working in modern development environments emphasizing automation, tooling, monitoring, and CI/CD.
• Proven leadership ability to coach and mentor quality practitioners, fostering performance excellence, health, and career growth.
• Strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities, with competent risk assessment and quality communication skills.

Additional Information

Security clearance is mandatory for this position, requiring at least Confidential level clearance. Eligibility for clearance necessitates New Zealand permanent residency and continuous residence over the last five years in New Zealand or one of the Five Eyes countries (NZ, USA, UK, Canada, Australia).
