Quality Inspector (Mechanical / Electrical & Instrumentation)

About the Role

We are seeking a diligent Quality Inspector with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation fields to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role is crucial for ensuring that all incoming materials, spare parts, and consumables meet our stringent quality specifications, engineering drawings, and relevant international standards. You will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and production processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of all incoming materials, spare parts, and consumables to confirm they align with purchase specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable international standards.
• Scrutinize inspection certificates, test reports, calibration certificates, and other supplier-provided documentation to verify conformity and adherence to quality requirements.
• Identify, meticulously document, and report any non-conforming materials. Facilitate the coordination of corrective actions with the procurement, warehouse, engineering, and end-user departments to resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all inspections performed. Provide support for warehouse material verification activities and ensure that system updates are completed in a timely manner to facilitate traceability and reporting.

Requirements

• Possess a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in quality inspection, preferably within the aluminium, oil & gas, steel, metal manufacturing, or similar industrial sectors.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of quality inspection methodologies compliant with recognized international standards such as ISO, BS, DIN, and BIS.
• Proficiency in using SAP, specifically the MM and/or QI modules, for material management and quality inspection processes.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Doha, Qatar.
