The organization focuses on thorough inspection reporting, strong technical standards, and a high level of client service. As the team expands, it is hiring an Electrical Engineer for its Dubai operations.

Role Summary

This position involves conducting detailed electrical inspections for residential and commercial properties, checking system performance, identifying defects, confirming adherence to relevant regulations, and preparing professional snagging documentation. The engineer will work as part of a multidisciplinary inspection team to help ensure properties meet required safety and quality standards before handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out in-depth electrical inspections across apartments, villas, townhouses, and commercial buildings.
• Examine electrical fittings, distribution boards, lighting, switches, sockets, wiring, earthing, and protective devices.
• Detect defects, poor workmanship, safety risks, and deviations from applicable standards.
• Check compliance with UAE regulations, DEWA requirements, and international benchmarks such as IEC and BS.
• Assess electrical drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams, and other technical records.
• Test electrical systems and power distribution components for proper function.
• Draft detailed snagging reports with photos, technical notes, and suggested remedial actions.
• Discuss inspection outcomes with contractors, developers, project managers, and clients.
• Assist with follow-up inspections after rectification to confirm issues have been resolved.
• Maintain strong technical precision, professionalism, and customer-oriented service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 to 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, building services, construction, MEP, property inspection, or snagging.
• Solid knowledge of electrical installations, power distribution, circuit protection, earthing, lighting systems, and electrical safety.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of UAE electrical regulations, DEWA standards, IEC, and BS requirements.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
• Good written communication and report preparation skills.
• Strong English communication skills.
• UAE driving licence preferred.
• Prior exposure to property snagging or building inspections is an added advantage.
