Role Overview
The Quality Improvement Coordinator plays an essential role within the quality improvement team, supporting operational growth by developing training programs for both new and current staff members. This position promotes a culture dedicated to continuous learning and quality enhancement. This is a fully remote position available throughout most U.S. states, excluding Alaska, California, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, and North Dakota.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a thorough understanding of contract requirements and deliverables to ensure compliance.
- Exhibit strong communication, organizational, and facilitation skills while fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Interact professionally and courteously with diverse internal and external customers, including clinicians and administrators, even in dynamic environments.
- Leverage workload management experience to efficiently organize tasks.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to analyze sizable data sets.
- Communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats to various audiences from medical to non-technical staff.
- Collaborate with supervisors to establish and maintain performance measurement systems.
- Assist in creating evaluation tools that generate both quantitative and qualitative data to validate compliance and competence.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and services by analyzing performance data and reports.
- Support quality improvement studies and inter-rater reliability (IRR) assessments for assigned contracts.
- Help in peer reviewer recruitment activities and address credentialing and invoicing inquiries.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of quality improvement plans, including policy and procedural guidelines.
- Prepare and deliver performance indicator analyses and summary reports to senior management.
- Maintain documented standards of performance and address deviations from quality plans.
- Continually develop knowledge of quality improvement models and methodologies, such as rapid cycle improvement and plan-do-check-act.
- Comply with all corporate policies, including HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in healthcare administration, health services management, public health, or related fields.
- At least two years of experience working with diverse software systems involving reporting, data management, and system support.
- Minimum of two years' experience in project coordination, organization, tracking, and operational support.
- Basic understanding of process improvement applications in routine operations.
- Professional telephone etiquette when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with BFCC operations, auditing, and compliance procedures.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail to manage competing deadlines effectively.
- Experience building and sustaining productive relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Power Platform tools.
- Robust critical thinking capabilities.
Additional Information
This role is supervised by a Manager or Director and classified as an exempt position. Candidates with substantial relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree qualifications at specific thresholds outlined by the company.
Compensation and Benefits
