Quality Assurance Specialist

Overview

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for implementing company-wide and regulatory quality standards. This role involves auditing and analyzing quality data following established protocols to promote proactive corrective measures. Key duties include conducting inspections, managing documentation, and fostering continuous process improvements to uphold quality excellence.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with multiple departments to address and resolve quality-related challenges.
• Manage return merchandise authorizations (RMA) by coordinating with internal teams and customers until resolution is achieved.
• Engage with suppliers to address and resolve nonconformance quality issues effectively.
• Execute receiving, in-process, outgoing, and first article inspections for designated customers.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s quality management system and produce quality reports for customers.
• Organize and lead meetings with stakeholders to facilitate resolutions using leadership skills.
• Collect, analyze, and report quality metrics to support the quality management system.
• Assist in the creation, update, and governance of quality documents while ensuring their accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, shipping, receiving, and procurement regarding process discrepancies.
• Review and process deviations, engineering change requests (ECRs), and engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Support the Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) program.
• Facilitate ISO qualification activities including audits, training, and documentation.
• Conduct quarterly reviews of quality standards with cross-functional teams, evaluating training records and recurrent failures.
• Create standard operating procedures (SOPs), oversee change control, perform internal audits, conduct risk assessments, and provide training.
• Adhere strictly to information assets protection policies and security procedures relevant to company and client systems.
• Promote high-quality standards across peer organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; certification in quality assurance is advantageous.
• At least three years of experience in quality assurance or related fields.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and attentive to detail.
• Proficient in data collection and analysis.
• Knowledgeable about regulatory standards and handling Certification of Conformance (CoC) documentation.

Additional Information

Work Environment: Office-based with potential minor travel requirements.

Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Compensation: Annual salary ranging from $67,000 to $77,000.
