Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with 1 to 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will oversee gauge calibration, monitor tool usage and replacement schedules, prepare and maintain PPAP documentation, and conduct quality inspections across the shop floor to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration of gauges and maintain accurate calibration documentation.
• Track tool life cycles and coordinate timely tool replacements.
• Prepare and regularly update Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents.
• Conduct quality inspections on the production floor to uphold quality compliance.
• Validate machine setups prior to starting production runs.
• Carry out patrol inspections during manufacturing to detect and address quality issues promptly.
• Investigate quality defects thoroughly and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Collaborate closely with Production and Maintenance teams to enhance product quality.
• Maintain comprehensive quality records and produce detailed inspection reports.
• Ensure all processes comply with customer requirements and internal quality protocols.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Familiarity with quality tools and various inspection methodologies.
• Working knowledge of PPAP, calibration procedures, and general manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and managing quality documentation.
• Effective communication skills and proven ability to work well in teams.
