Role overview

The Quality Assurance Analyst for Kenya will help drive the rollout, tracking, and ongoing improvement of quality assurance practices across Finwerd’s East African operations. The role centers on food safety compliance, internal quality standards, regulatory adherence, and customer requirements, while also supporting product monitoring, supplier quality, record control, audits, investigations, and corrective actions.

This position suits a highly organised and detail-focused professional who is comfortable working with food safety systems, quality management frameworks, and regulatory expectations in the food and beverage sector.

What you will do

  • Assist in implementing and tracking quality assurance and food safety systems.
  • Carry out quality inspections, checks, and compliance monitoring.
  • Support audits, investigations, corrective actions, and regulatory documentation.
  • Track product quality performance and look into customer complaints or non-conformance issues.
  • Keep quality logs, reports, and SOP documents accurate and up to date.
  • Work with teams across the business to strengthen operational quality and continuous improvement.

Key competencies

  • Solid working knowledge of quality assurance, GMP, HACCP, and food safety frameworks.
  • Strong analytical ability, reporting capability, and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-developed organisation skills.
  • Clear communication and effective stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to juggle several priorities while working well with different teams.

Qualifications and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Quality Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • Between 3 and 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, food safety, or compliance within the food and beverage industry.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, ingredient distribution, or FMCG environments is strongly preferred.
  • Food safety or quality management certifications will be considered an advantage.
