Job description

Role Overview

OSG Containers and Modular Pte Ltd is looking for a QS cum Draftperson to handle drawing preparation, quantity take-offs, costing support, and project coordination for tender submissions and job orders. The role involves working closely with sales, production, clients, consultants, and vendors to ensure drawings, materials, specifications, and site requirements are aligned from planning through project handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, update, and adjust drawings and work schedules promptly for tenders and confirmed job orders.
  • Work with the team to recommend design approaches and material options that fit the budget and client needs, while gathering dimensions and specifications from sites and suppliers.
  • Coordinate instructions and track progress with sales, production, and clients across design approvals, job specifications, issue resolution, project completion, and handover.
  • Produce bills of quantities for job orders in a cost-conscious way, including material and manpower quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and planning support for tenders and orders.
  • Coordinate with consultants and vendors to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, practices, and updates.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and carry out site surveys to understand installation, delivery, and setup requirements when needed.
  • Inspect finished work to confirm that products meet the approved drawings and job requirements.
  • Support efficient and safe production methods, maintain organized records, and keep all files and drawings properly stored.
  • Assist colleagues in production, procurement, and logistics as needed.
  • Prepare project updates for the Project Manager and customers, and help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workplace.
  • Take on other related tasks and ad-hoc duties assigned by the company.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in construction, building, project management, or manufacturing.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD, SketchUp, and produce 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Diploma or NTC 3, or an equivalent qualification, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
  • Strong organizational ability, self-motivation, teamwork, and good interpersonal skills.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Central Singapore. The role combines drafting, quantity surveying, project coordination, site checking, quality control, and support for production-related functions. Pay details were not provided in the source.
