QAQC Civil Engineer

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The QAQC Civil Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing the Project Quality Plan (PQP) to ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves establishing, monitoring, and managing all QA/QC processes specific to the project, ensuring compliance with client-approved procedures.

Key duties include reviewing Method Statements, formulating corresponding Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and preparing related checklists and forms for client approval. The incumbent will assign QA/QC tasks among the team and conduct training sessions aimed at aligning staff, laborers, and subcontractors with quality expectations.

Coordination plays a vital role, including collaborating with on-site teams for PQP implementation and working with subcontractors to ensure relevant PQP components are executed. The engineer will maintain an updated inventory of calibrated testing and measuring equipment, identify and validate approved testing laboratories, and inspect incoming materials and workmanship based on the ITP, ensuring all records are traceable.

Additional responsibilities cover facilitating Requests for Inspection (RFIs) with site teams and organizing inspections and tests with clients in accordance to the approved ITP to secure necessary approvals.
