Job description
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA / QC Engineer to join our team and ensure all welding, materials, and documentation comply with the highest quality standards in fabrication projects. This role involves taking full ownership of quality control throughout the project lifecycle, from inspection to final manufacturing records.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply and interpret standards and procedures such as EN 13480, RCC-M, RCC-E, BTR, BTS, and EM09 to maintain project compliance.
- Inspect and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) ensuring alignment with material types, thicknesses, and diameters.
- Monitor consumable usage, review welder qualifications and prolongations, and track material traceability.
- Confirm that materials and dimensional measurements correspond accurately to isometrics and drawings.
- Ensure calibration of equipment, gauges, and measurement tools is current and valid.
- Verify adherence to welding parameters, approved procedures, and SQEP personnel qualifications.
- Review Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports to ensure compliance with standards.
- Conduct meticulous reviews of work packs, including checking for proper signatures, stamps, sequential dating, revisions, and completeness of fields.
- Ensure SQEP personnel clearly understand and correctly execute inspection points.
- Finalize documentation review aligned with client-required standards.
- Prepare End of Manufacturing Reports (EOMR) using the IRC format tool, review scanned documentation for correctness, and manage Certificates of Conformity (CfC), Inspection Completion Records (ICRs), and link relevant Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) or Technical Queries (TQs).
- Perform comprehensive EOMR evaluations and make minor document corrections as necessary.
