About the Role
CirrusLabs is looking for a QA Lead to support its AI Assurance Platform in Bengaluru. This role is suited to a quality engineering professional who can shape testing direction, lead automation efforts, and help ensure release confidence for a modern AI-focused product.
Work Location and Shift
The position is based in Bengaluru, India, with a shift window of 12 PM to 9 PM IST.
Experience Required
The role calls for at least 5 years of experience overall, with a stronger match in the 5 to 8 year range in software quality assurance and test automation.
Responsibilities
The role includes building and guiding the quality approach for the platform, covering strategy, planning, automation, execution, and release readiness. It also involves testing web interfaces, APIs, data layers, and integrated application flows while working closely with engineering and delivery teams.
Core Skills and Expectations
Strong hands-on capability with Playwright is expected for UI automation, along with practical experience in API validation using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar frameworks. The position also requires comfort with test strategy creation, test planning, and automation strategy documentation, plus a solid grasp of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and CI/CD practices.
The candidate should also be experienced with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, understand SQL-based database testing, and know how to define quality metrics and release readiness criteria.
Preferred Experience
Bonus exposure includes using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or comparable assistants to speed up test case creation, automation scripting, test data preparation, and QA workflows. The ideal candidate can use these tools effectively while still validating outputs manually to preserve quality, maintainability, and accuracy.
Additional advantage is experience with AI, LLM, Agentic AI, ML, or GenAI applications, along with knowledge of AI evaluation areas such as quality, safety, performance, hallucinations, and response validation. Familiarity with performance and load testing, AWS environments, modern SaaS products, and event-driven or microservices architectures is also desirable.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization.
