Python Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our team in Singapore on a contract basis working onsite. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Python programming and a solid understanding of software development in backend and platform environments.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Develop and maintain Python applications utilizing comprehensive expertise in the language.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Utilize observability platforms such as Grafana along with Prometheus, logs, traces, and alerting tools to monitor system performance.
• Leverage open-source tools and frameworks relevant to backend and platform development projects.
• Implement test-driven development practices to ensure code quality.
• Manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines with tools including Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and TeamCity.
• Use scripting languages, including Shell scripting and Regular Expressions, for automation and other tasks.
• Participate actively in Agile development processes such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Linux systems to support development and deployment.
• Have working experience or knowledge of Docker containers, Ansible automation, Splunk/SIEM platforms, and public cloud environments.
• Knowledge of proxy services, networking protocols, and identity/authentication mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth, or SPIFFE will be considered an advantage.
