Public Areas Cleaner

Role overview

The Public Area Cleaner helps maintain spotless, well-presented shared spaces throughout the hotel. This position also involves regular interaction with guests, so a friendly and welcoming manner is important.

Work is scheduled across morning, evening, and weekend shifts, and the role is expected to average around 35 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Work in line with Sheraton brand standards at all times.
• Take part in training sessions organised by the department.
• Support the Accommodation Team and assist with bedroom duties when needed.
• Keep public spaces clean and orderly.
• Clean guest bedrooms and bathrooms.
• Vacuum rooms, corridors, lifts, and stairwells.
• Replace towels and guest toiletries according to company procedures.
• Carry out scheduled deep-cleaning tasks.
• Dispose of waste following company guidelines.
• Handle lost property in accordance with the correct process.
• Inspect public areas and toilets and take action where issues are found.
• Complete and sign off duties once finished.
• Follow all safety procedures to protect guests and staff.
• Respond to guest requests quickly and efficiently.
