Job description
Role overview
The Public Area Cleaner helps maintain spotless, well-presented shared spaces throughout the hotel. This position also involves regular interaction with guests, so a friendly and welcoming manner is important.
Work is scheduled across morning, evening, and weekend shifts, and the role is expected to average around 35 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Work in line with Sheraton brand standards at all times.
- Take part in training sessions organised by the department.
- Support the Accommodation Team and assist with bedroom duties when needed.
- Keep public spaces clean and orderly.
- Clean guest bedrooms and bathrooms.
- Vacuum rooms, corridors, lifts, and stairwells.
- Replace towels and guest toiletries according to company procedures.
- Carry out scheduled deep-cleaning tasks.
- Dispose of waste following company guidelines.
- Handle lost property in accordance with the correct process.
- Inspect public areas and toilets and take action where issues are found.
- Complete and sign off duties once finished.
- Follow all safety procedures to protect guests and staff.
- Respond to guest requests quickly and efficiently.
