Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Limerick for a Property Valuer. The role involves inspecting residential, commercial, and agricultural properties, collecting the information needed for assessment, and producing precise valuation reports that align with industry standards and regulatory expectations. The position also includes reviewing market activity and comparable sales, coordinating with estate agents, and keeping valuation records current. In addition, the Property Valuer will speak with clients to walk them through valuation results, handle questions, and ensure a high standard of customer service. The role also supports the wider property team with appraisals connected to sales, lettings, and auctions, helping maintain consistency and quality across all valuation work.
Responsibilities
- Visit and assess residential, commercial, and agricultural properties.
- Collect and review relevant property information for valuation purposes.
- Prepare accurate valuation reports in line with professional and regulatory standards.
- Research market movements and examine comparable property sales.
- Work with estate agents and other relevant contacts as needed.
- Maintain organised and current records of property valuations.
- Explain valuation results to clients in a clear, professional manner.
- Respond to client questions and provide a positive service experience.
- Assist with property appraisals for sales, lettings, and auctions.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy across valuation assignments.
Requirements
- Strong capability in property appraisal and valuation across different property types.
- Previous experience with estate agents or in an estate agency setting, preferably within the Irish property market.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong customer service ability.
- A relevant qualification in property, real estate, surveying, or a similar discipline; professional accreditation such as SCSI/RICS or an equivalent is an advantage.
- Comfort using property management and valuation software, as well as standard office tools.
- Good analytical and numerical ability, attention to detail, and sound judgement when preparing reports.
- Valid full driving licence and willingness to travel locally for inspections.
- Ability to work independently, manage several assignments at once, and meet deadlines in a busy on-site environment.
