About the Role
Join a major public sector organisation that manages a vast infrastructure portfolio supporting schools, early childhood services, and corporate operations throughout Queensland. This role is embedded within a prominent Information Governance and Digital Enablement program aimed at enhancing information management, boosting digital capabilities, and enabling evidence-based decisions through technology and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile reports, briefing documents, presentations, and other project materials for executive stakeholders.
- Organize governance activities by preparing agendas, recording minutes, maintaining action, risk, and issue registers.
- Assist in project scheduling, planning, regular reporting, and tracking priorities.
- Conduct research and analyze information to support informed decision-making processes.
- Review and ensure quality of reporting inputs and program-related documentation.
- Monitor project risks, dependencies, and milestones while escalating concerns timely.
- Maintain comprehensive project records, plans, and documentation.
- Support financial aspects including forecasting, budget monitoring, and resource tracking.
- Provide secretarial assistance and coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Support Officer, Program Support Officer, or related role.
- Background working within government entities or large complex organisations.
- Excellent written communication skills, adept at preparing reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
- Familiarity with electronic document and records management systems and project management software.
- Knowledge of project delivery frameworks such as PRINCE2, AgilePM, or Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
