The company is a reliable participant on several government panels, delivering ICT professional services, project/program management, engineering, technical services, and material logistics.

Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position located in Adelaide supports a sophisticated Defence program. The Project Scheduler’s primary responsibilities include the creation, upkeep, and optimization of project and program schedules encompassing work breakdown structures, dependencies, milestones, and resource allocations. The role requires collaboration with project managers, engineering teams, and various stakeholders to monitor progress, identify scheduling risks, and suggest mitigation plans.

Daily tasks involve generating schedule reports and dashboards, facilitating governance and status meetings, and ensuring that scheduling activities comply with contractual obligations and organizational standards. Additionally, the individual contributes to ongoing enhancements in scheduling methodologies, tools, and processes throughout the project portfolio.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Active NV1 Security Clearance at minimum
  • Proven experience in project scheduling and planning, with the ability to manage detailed schedules for complex programs involving multiple stakeholders
  • Expertise in industry-standard scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar, along with strong proficiency in Excel or other analysis tools
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management fundamentals including critical path method, resource allocation, risk management, and change control procedures
  • Prior experience in Defence sector projects and familiarity with contract-based delivery environments
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities, ensuring precision in reporting and documentation
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with stakeholders of varying technical levels and delivering schedule insights effectively
  • Capability to work independently and as part of cross-disciplinary teams, adept at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Relevant tertiary education in project management, engineering, or related fields; possession of project management certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, or PRINCE2 is a plus
