Role overview
Larsen & Toubro is hiring a Project Scheduler for its Riyadh, Saudi Arabia location. The role focuses on building, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules to support execution and keep the project aligned with contract requirements, the BOQ, and the defined scope of work.
Core duties
- Develop a detailed baseline programme using planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring it is aligned with the contract documents, bill of quantities, and scope definition.
- Keep the schedule current by incorporating actual progress, manpower and resource deployment, and site realities, while comparing performance against the baseline plan.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly lookahead schedules in coordination with the execution team so field activities are sequenced properly and work areas are ready in time.
- Track and communicate schedule health metrics, including planned versus actual progress, SPI, and compliance with the critical path.
- Spot delays or departures from the approved programme, investigate the underlying reasons, and propose corrective or recovery measures with relevant project stakeholders.
Technical and working requirements
The position requires strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel, along with familiarity with CPM scheduling, resource loading, and earned value management (EVM). The role also calls for capability in data analysis and reporting, digital/AI adoption, digital software proficiency, documentation control, project performance management, project planning and scheduling, resource planning, and risk management.
