Role overview

An international engineering contractor is seeking a skilled Project Planner to support the execution of a major hyperscale data centre build in Germany. This is a permanent position with strong continuity on a long-running project, exposure to large mission-critical infrastructure, and the opportunity to collaborate with experienced delivery teams on complex engineering work.

Key responsibilities

  • Create, update, and manage integrated construction schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Prepare labour-loaded programmes, histograms, S-curves, and progress updates.
  • Work alongside Project Managers, Commercial teams, and site personnel to track progress and highlight schedule risks.
  • Coordinate with the main contractor to build and maintain a unified project programme.
  • Run planning meetings, short-term look-ahead reviews, and schedule coordination sessions.
  • Monitor productivity, compare actual performance with the plan, and assist with recovery actions when needed.
  • Identify programme threats early and recommend practical mitigation measures.

Requirements

  • A degree or similar qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or another relevant field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Prior background in project planning for construction, engineering, or mission-critical projects.
  • Good command of Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to review technical drawings, commercial documents, and construction methods.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills.
