Job description

Role overview

Intero Integrity Services is expanding its presence in the Middle East and is hiring a Project Manager in Abu Dhabi to oversee inspection and industrial services work. The position reports to the Operations Manager and requires strong English communication; Arabic is considered an advantage.

The company focuses on improving asset reliability, safety, and performance through inspection expertise, industrial services, advanced equipment, technology, and data-driven project delivery. This role is accountable for taking projects from award through completion and invoicing, while keeping safety, quality, schedule, budget, and customer expectations under control.

What the role covers

The Project Manager will own the end-to-end execution of inspection and industrial service projects, including planning, coordination, monitoring, reporting, and close-out. Success in this role means delivering work safely, on time, within budget, and in line with company procedures, QHSE standards, and contract obligations.

Key duties

  • Examine the project scope, contractual commitments, customer requirements, and commercial terms.
  • Run customer kick-off meetings and project discussions while representing the business in a professional manner.
  • Build execution plans, timelines, resource plans, and overall project approaches.
  • Make sure method statements, risk assessments, work instructions, and QHSE documents are prepared, approved, and sent to the client promptly.
  • Maintain a complete project file for the full execution cycle.
  • Oversee project scheduling, manpower deployment, equipment readiness, logistics, and mobilization to site.
  • Track progress, milestones, productivity, costs, risks, and general project health.
  • Ensure delivery is carried out safely and in line with approved procedures and client expectations.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and third-party service providers where needed.
  • Review project budgets, forecast costs, manage changes, and monitor financial performance.
  • Coordinate staff deployment and site setup arrangements.
  • Ensure daily reports, inspection records, timesheets, and other project documents are submitted on time.
  • Handle client communication, progress updates, technical clarifications, and issue resolution.
  • Compile and submit project completion documentation according to customer requirements.
  • Carry out project close-out reviews and capture lessons learned for future improvements.
  • Keep management informed on progress, risks, financial position, and resource needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
  • PMP certification or a similar project management credential is preferred.
  • At least 8–10 years of project management experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, pipeline inspection, or industrial services environments.
  • Hands-on background in pipeline inspection, pigging, and integrity management projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of pipeline pigging operations, including cleaning, gauging, batching, dewatering, and degassing.
  • Practical experience with inline inspection technologies, especially ultrasonic testing inspection tools.
  • Prior involvement in ADNOC Group projects, such as ADNOC Offshore, ADNOC Onshore, ADNOC Gas, or ADNOC Distribution, is highly preferred.
  • Proven delivery of similar inspection and integrity work for ADNOC or other major Middle East oil & gas operators is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of ADNOC standards, permit-to-work processes, HSE requirements, project execution practices, and contractor management.
  • Strong capability in planning, scheduling, resource coordination, logistics, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle several projects at once while maintaining safety, quality, and commercial targets.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required; Arabic is beneficial.
  • Candidates with direct experience managing pigging and inline inspection projects for ADNOC assets, including offshore and onshore pipelines, will be prioritized.

What’s offered

  • A demanding and professional role in a growing international organization.
  • A competitive compensation package with performance-linked bonus potential.
  • The chance to lead regional and international projects within the Intero Group.
  • Opportunities for career advancement based on results, leadership, and technical strength.
  • A collaborative culture built around teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
