Project Manager - HDB and Residential Building Projects

About the Company

Our client is a reputable A1 Main Contractor renowned for a robust portfolio primarily consisting of HDB BTO, residential, and building projects throughout Singapore. They have an expanding project pipeline and are seeking experienced Project Managers to lead comprehensive project delivery from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Fully accountable for managing HDB and other building projects to successful completion, meeting safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
• Lead and supervise project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to fulfill project goals and deadlines.
• Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules, allocate resources, strategize procurement, and define construction methods.
• Oversee on-site construction activities ensuring adherence to design standards, contract terms, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage project financials including budgets, cost controls, variation orders, and overall economic performance throughout the project phases.
• Establish and nurture strong working relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration.
• Identify risks proactively, implement mitigation plans, and resolve technical or operational challenges promptly.
• Deliver regular updates and reports to senior management covering progress, costs, quality metrics, safety, and overall project outcomes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• At least five years of project management experience in the building construction sector.
• Documented success in managing projects from initial planning through to final delivery.
• Experience with HDB BTO, public housing, or large-scale residential projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract management, scheduling, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership qualities complemented by strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Information

• Work location will vary based on active project sites across Singapore.
• Standard working week is 5.5 days.
• Remuneration up to SGD 12,000 monthly, negotiable based on qualification and experience, plus performance-based bonus.
