Role Overview
Join Downer's tier one contract team based in Waikato as a Project Manager overseeing multiple diverse projects with varying complexity and financial scope. This role involves managing simultaneous projects, ensuring financial performance, documenting contract variations, and maintaining transparent communication with clients to consistently deliver high-quality results on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver projects that meet specified requirements, stay within budget, and adhere to defined timelines.
- Effectively allocate and coordinate resources according to project plans.
- Ensure prompt and accurate invoicing processes.
- Complete customer-related documentation accurately and on time.
- Provide clients with quality engineering, design, estimation services, quotes, and as-built documentation.
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs and revenue to proactively manage profitability, escalating any risks impacting deliverables.
- Lead reviews upon project completion.
- Perform quality audits to confirm compliance with contract requirements, engineering and construction standards, legal regulations, and network operation policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience managing projects successfully.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Project.
- Practical understanding of engineering design standards.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
