Role Summary
KPMG is seeking a proactive Project Manager / Business PM to steer initiatives connected to liquidity reporting, data validation, and regulatory programs. The position calls for hands-on ownership, strong stakeholder coordination, and the ability to drive delivery across Finance, Technology, and Data teams.
Project & Delivery Management
- Own the full project lifecycle from planning through execution, tracking, and final closure.
- Oversee several workstreams tied to liquidity regulatory reporting such as LCR, NSFR, ILAAP, Asset Encumbrance, and AMM.
- Set scope, schedules, milestones, and outputs in line with business priorities.
- Monitor progress, risks, and dependencies to keep delivery on time and within scope.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as the main coordination point for Finance, Data, Technology, and regional teams across the US, UK, APAC, and other locations.
- Share project updates, risks, and decisions with senior stakeholders and leadership.
- Build alignment across teams and reinforce clear accountability for actions and outcomes.
Data and Regulatory Work
- Drive initiatives focused on data quality, reconciliation, and validation controls.
- Coordinate fixes for data issues that affect regulatory reporting.
- Ensure work remains aligned with regulatory expectations and audit requirements.
Governance and Reporting
- Set up and maintain project governance structures.
- Prepare steering committee presentations, MIS, KPI packs, and progress reports.
- Maintain RAID logs covering risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
Process Improvement and Change
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and introduce automation.
- Support the rollout of system improvements and stronger data controls.
- Assist with change management, including impact assessment and user adoption.
Required Background
The ideal candidate should bring 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, PMO, or business analyst roles, preferably on finance, regulatory, or data-focused programs. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is required. Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile are considered an advantage.
Technical and Functional Capabilities
The role demands advanced use of Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations, plus working knowledge of SQL or data querying tools and dashboards built in Tableau or Power BI. Experience handling large datasets and turning findings into practical actions is important.
