Role overview
This position is for an experienced project management professional who will steer transformation programs and strategic initiatives, while also reinforcing PMO governance and delivery discipline. The role focuses on taking projects from launch through completion with strong planning, oversight, issue management, and executive-level reporting. It suits someone who works independently, brings solid project leadership capability, and can align stakeholders across different functions to deliver results.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, or a similar field is required.
- At least 8 years of experience is needed in project management, PMO, business transformation, strategy execution, or leading large-scale enterprise initiatives.
- Applicants should have a strong grasp of project governance, planning approaches, risk and issue handling, and performance reporting.
- The role calls for a proven track record of managing several projects at once while working with and influencing stakeholders from multiple functions.
- Strong analytical ability, organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
- The candidate must be comfortable balancing hands-on delivery with structured governance and reporting.
- Professional credentials such as PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification are preferred.
Key responsibilities
- Direct the planning, execution, tracking, and successful completion of transformation initiatives and special projects.
- Create detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, governance models, and reporting frameworks.
- Track project progress, surface risks, issues, and dependencies, and ensure follow-through on corrective actions.
- Build executive dashboards, status updates, governance summaries, and presentations for steering committees.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on goals, deliverables, timelines, and accountability.
- Spot delivery risks early, raise critical issues when needed, and suggest mitigation actions.
- Assist PMO operations by upholding governance standards, reporting quality, project controls, and visibility into performance.
- Run project meetings, workshops, and governance sessions, ensuring actions are documented and followed up.
- Encourage strong project management practices and help improve PMO processes over time.
