About the Role

Advance Construction (Scotland) Limited is seeking a motivated and organized Project Lead / PMO Coordinator to manage project execution, enhance PMO governance frameworks, and ensure the delivery of strategic organizational initiatives. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, tracking project performance, and supporting governance practices to drive operational excellence and continuous development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation through completion, including planning schedules, milestones, resource allocations, and documentation.
  • Oversight of project progress, deliverables, budgets, and timelines to guarantee successful outcomes.
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies within projects and develop mitigation plans accordingly.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions for project progress and alignment.
  • Ensure projects meet time, budget, and quality standards consistently.
  • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of PMO methodologies and governance standards.
  • Maintain frameworks for governance, documentation, and reporting across projects.
  • Track project portfolios and monitor KPI dashboards to maintain transparency and performance insight.
  • Prepare project status reports, executive dashboards, and presentations for management’s review.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational project management processes, coordinate project audits, and assist in resource planning and portfolio evaluations.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders, project managers, and teams to ensure objectives align and communication flows smoothly between stakeholders, clients, and vendors.
  • Drive business transformation by supporting organizational improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Analyze project performance data to recommend and implement process enhancements that increase efficiency.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and preparation of business cases and project proposals to support organizational objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a similar field.
  • Between 3 and 5 years of experience in project management, PMO roles, project coordination, or related business operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects and multiple stakeholder coordination.
  • Strong familiarity with project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid models.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Trello, Monday.com, or Smartsheet.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or other project reporting and business intelligence tools is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, Agile, or Scrum are preferred.
