Role Overview
The Project Executive will be responsible for preparing precise cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents to support construction initiatives. This position involves oversight of project budgets and financial forecasts from commencement through completion.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates along with tender documentation relevant to construction projects.
- Manage and forecast budgets, ensuring financial oversight through all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Perform cost analyses to optimize expenditures while maintaining quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable pricing terms.
- Monitor project spending and generate regular financial reports and updates for stakeholders.
- Measure and value on-site work to guarantee precise progress claims and payment processing.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to address and resolve cost-related issues and variations.
- Review and evaluate contract variations and claims to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all project costs, associated documentation, and financial data for auditing purposes and future reference.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a professional qualification as a Quantity Surveyor or an equivalent degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector.
- Sound understanding of construction contracts, procurement strategies, and cost management techniques.
- Strong analytical aptitude and numerical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders efficiently.
- Familiarity with Singapore's local building regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Practical experience with construction projects in retail, hospitality, or commercial domains is preferred.
