Planning Management

  • Create, maintain, and revise detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or a similar planning tool.
  • Work with engineering and construction teams to keep schedules consistent with actual site progress.
  • Maintain baseline and short-term look-ahead programmes, and prepare recovery measures whenever required.

Cost Control

  • Track budgets, monitor spending, and refresh cost forecasts as the project evolves.
  • Prepare detailed cost analysis reports, including variance explanations and corrective recommendations.

Risk Management

  • Identify project risks and evaluate their potential impact.
  • Build mitigation and avoidance plans together with the relevant project stakeholders.
  • Keep track of risk indicators and act early before issues develop into delays or cost escalation.
  • Communicate early warnings and action points clearly and in a timely way to help prevent schedule slippage and budget overruns.

Procedures and Process Control

  • Design and enforce control procedures covering planning, cost, and risk management.
  • Standardize reporting formats, workflows, and communication methods across projects.
  • Ensure records and control systems are properly maintained, audit-ready, and compliant with company policies.

KPIs and Strategy Alignment

  • Define and track key performance indicators related to schedule, cost, productivity, and risk.
  • Prepare monthly performance dashboards and call out any deviations from plan.
  • Partner with the Project Director on project strategy, profit objectives, and operational targets.
  • Contribute to forecasting and strategic planning discussions.

Reporting

  • Bring together project information into concise executive-level reports.
  • Make sure all reporting is accurate, clear, and delivered on time.
  • Prepare supporting documents and presentations for internal and client meetings.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is required.
  • The role calls for more than 20 years of experience in project control, planning, and cost management within infrastructure projects.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Primavera P6, cost control applications, and Microsoft Office is essential.
  • The candidate should bring strong analytical ability, organization, and leadership capability.
