Job description
Role overview
This is a remote Project and Resource Manager position for a partner company operating in Australia. The role is central to a busy, international research operations setting, where you will help ensure that the right people are matched to the right work at the right time. By coordinating priorities across account, customer success, and research teams, you will turn incoming requests into clear, workable plans that support smooth delivery and strong client outcomes.
You will also play a part in improving workflows, reducing repetitive manual tasks, and supporting automation initiatives that make the operation more efficient and scalable.
Key accountabilities
- Review incoming project requests, refine the brief where needed, and make sure the intake process is structured properly with support from commercial and research teams.
- Assign research specialists according to capacity, availability, urgency, and the complexity of each assignment across several active projects.
- Keep an up-to-date view of team workload so work is distributed evenly and resource constraints are avoided.
- Rank and schedule incoming tasks using agreed operational guidelines, while setting expectations with stakeholders on timing and delivery.
- Spot gaps or inefficiencies in the project flow and help improve handovers, coordination steps, and operating procedures.
- Support the rollout and refinement of automation solutions such as workflow platforms, AI-supported tools, and integration systems to cut down manual coordination.
- Work closely with research leaders to strengthen efficiency and improve how the team scales delivery.
Required experience and skills
- 2 to 4 years of experience in project coordination, operations, or resource planning, preferably in market research or another high-pace environment.
- Ability to handle a large number of simultaneous requests with accuracy, structure, and calm under pressure.
- Strong judgment and prioritisation skills, with the capacity to weigh urgency, complexity, and business value.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to influence and align people across different teams and seniority levels.
- Confidence in making capacity-based decisions and explaining the trade-offs behind them.
- Comfort working in environments where priorities change often and flexibility is essential.
- A structured, practical, and process-driven approach with a strong interest in improving operations.
- Fluency in English is required; German language ability is an advantage.
Benefits
- Unlimited-style vacation policy with no fixed cap on leave days.
- Permission to work from abroad for up to 180 days per year if you are based in the EU.
- All required work equipment is provided, including a MacBook.
- Mobility support may be offered, such as a Deutschland ticket or a mobility budget, depending on location.
- Subsidised access to fitness and wellness memberships, such as Urban Sports Club or ClassPass, depending on location.
- Access to coworking spaces in selected international hub cities.
- A fully remote setup with collaboration across an international team.
