About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience in concrete manufacturing to support the operational goals of our Hornby Factory. In the role of Production Technician, you will contribute to meeting production targets while fostering a positive and engaging team environment. Promoting a strong health and safety culture is a key aspect of this role.
Key Duties
- Adhere strictly to the production schedule to meet planned outputs.
- Perform mould setup, mould and reinforcement assembly, concrete casting and pouring, formwork stripping, cleaning, finishing, and other manufacturing-related tasks.
- Dismantle concrete forms after curing, strip and label products according to production drawings.
- Operate power tools, forklifts, and manage wire tying, rolling and concrete pouring processes.
- Handle portable concrete mixers and manually cast structural concrete components, including shoveling sand, cement, gravel, or pumice into mixers.
- Ensure proper use and review of quality control documentation, taking immediate action on any discrepancies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working with precast concrete products.
- Ability to read and interpret production plans and drawings.
- Confident decision-making skills with effective implementation.
- Possession of a desirable F endorsement licence.
- Strong communication capabilities.
- Physical ability to manually handle loads up to 25kg.
- Practical knowledge of workshop health and safety protocols.
