About the Company

Ohshima Ireland Limited is expanding its team at the Shannon, County Clare site. With a robust global footprint and notable expertise in specialized manufacturing, we offer a valuable role for an experienced planning professional dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and optimize production schedules using Oracle ERP software to meet customer demands and operational goals.
  • Effectively allocate production workloads to maximize resource utilization, efficiency, and timely deliveries.
  • Continuously monitor production status and promptly revise schedules in response to shifting priorities, resource limits, or equipment issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Service to synchronize production with delivery commitments and notify stakeholders regarding any schedule adjustments.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to guarantee material availability aligns with production plans.
  • Work with Quality Assurance and Incoming Inspection departments to prioritize and ensure critical materials are accessible on time.
  • Track Work in Progress to identify bottlenecks or delays and partner with relevant departments to keep production on schedule.
  • Oversee outsourced processing activities to confirm supplier deliveries meet production timelines.
  • Assess production performance versus planned schedules, reporting risks, limitations, and identifying opportunities for improvement to management.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the Oracle ERP system and leverage data insights to enhance planning and decision-making processes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in production planning, supply chain management, or similar operational roles, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with effective problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills facilitating cross-department collaboration.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure environments and juggle multiple priorities successfully.
  • Familiarity with ERP software; experience with Oracle Access ERP is an advantage but not mandatory.
