Production Manager

About the Role

Our client, a prominent medical device company dedicated to enhancing patient lives, is seeking a Production Manager for their facility in County Mayo, Ireland. Reporting to the Head of Operations and serving as a vital member of the Management Team, this role involves overseeing multiple manufacturing teams, including supervisors and staff, to ensure timely production schedules and meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead department supervisors and support personnel to achieve excellence in safety, quality, and production outcomes.
• Partner with other manufacturing operations management and clients to guarantee quality objectives are met.
• Ensure timely delivery of products to customers, adhering to quality standards, yield targets, cost efficiencies, and process improvements.
• Spearhead Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving techniques to boost throughput, minimize waste, and enhance process capability.
• Collaborate with maintenance departments to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Manage relationships across departments and functions to optimize resource allocation.
• Inspire and develop your team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Create and manage a manufacturing budget that aligns with the plant's strategic objectives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Possession of a third-level qualification.
• Proven leadership and people management experience within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
• Demonstrated success in leading OPEX, Lean, or other continuous improvement programs.
• Experience in financial and budget reporting.
• Proficiency in applying structured OPEX tools such as DMAIC, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping.
