About the Company
Oved Group is a privately held fashion and apparel business with more than 40 years of experience across wholesale, e-commerce, and marketplace channels. Based in New York City with brand offices in California, the company manages a broad portfolio of global brands focused on strong execution across design, product development, production, sourcing, distribution, and logistics.
Its expertise spans full-collection menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, and infant/toddler categories, with particular strength in denim, outerwear, activewear, and loungewear/sleepwear. The business works with leading retail partners and is known for operating at scale across global apparel programs.
Role Overview
This position is for a detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee apparel production from start to finish. The role works closely with Design, Merchandising, Sales, Technical Design, Logistics, agents, and overseas factories to make sure products are delivered on schedule, within cost targets, and at the required quality standard.
Key Contributions
- Coordinate day-to-day communication with Design, Merchandising, Sales, Technical Design, Logistics, agents, and factory partners abroad.
- Maintain Production Tracking Reports and WIP reports, spot potential issues early, and lead recovery actions when timelines are at risk.
- Support margin and costing work by monitoring FOBs, yields, and chargebacks.
- Keep seasonal factory allocation plans updated in line with factory capacity, lead times, and risk reduction needs.
- Oversee testing and compliance processes so all approvals and records remain complete and ready for audit review.
- Track sample progress for proto, fit, PP, TOP, and salesman samples and follow up to keep deliverables moving.
- Prepare for meetings and fittings, document discussion points, and circulate next steps.
- Maintain organized and complete product files covering approvals, orders, production trackers, test results, and tech packs.
What the Role Requires
The successful candidate should bring hands-on experience in apparel production across multiple product categories, along with exposure to sourcing and vendor/factory management. A solid grasp of costing, margins, and garment construction is important, as well as working knowledge of PLM systems, Excel, and technical packages. The role also calls for a proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
