Job Overview
The Production Engineer will ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes by effectively communicating across business functions and implementing lean manufacturing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively convey information both verbally and in writing within a business context, ensuring clarity, precision, and thoroughness.
- Plan, coordinate, and organize work and project activities to efficiently complete tasks and achieve both short-term and long-term goals.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques such as Just In Time (JIT), Six Sigma, Ishikawa analysis, 5S, SMED, PDCA, and related tools to streamline processes.
- Operate production machinery following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or other instructions as applicable.
- Demonstrate knowledge of various machines, tools, and labor requirements necessary to transform raw materials into finished products.
- Adhere to local, regional, and international occupational health & safety regulations, policies, and standards to ensure workplace safety.
- Interpret and comply with legal requirements and internal procedures to safeguard personnel, equipment, and prevent market losses.
- Inspect and test equipment, spare parts, raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods using laboratory equipment ranging from simple to complex, ensuring compliance with engineering and procedural standards to detect and address deviations.
- Consistently monitor and assess the entire manufacturing process to uphold quality standards and facilitate engineering and process improvements at the facility.
