Job description
Role Overview
Disney Television Animation is a long-established studio with more than four decades of experience creating kids’ and family entertainment. Its work supports The Walt Disney Company by delivering Disney-branded stories and characters to audiences around the world.
The studio produces a wide mix of short-form and long-form programming across multiple animation formats, including traditional 2D, rig-based 2D, CG for preschool audiences, premium CG, and stop-motion. The production team aims to place the right creative and technical talent with the right show based on style and production needs.
This Production Coordinator role supports a project through pre-production and, when needed, into production. The coordinator assists Producers, Production Managers, and/or Production Supervisors with day-to-day production tasks.

Key Responsibilities
The role includes planning, coordination, organization, communication, and general production support.
- Schedule and coordinate a variety of production meetings, such as storyboard handouts, design reviews, pitches, leica screenings, art approvals, animatic reviews, and other show-specific meetings.
- Break down scripts for storyboard handouts and design meetings.
- Gather reference material for the crew when needed.
- Work with other coordinators and/or the production associate to keep artwork and production files organized according to studio procedures.
- Help prepare materials for vendor studios, production executives, and other Disney partners as requested.
- Work with the production manager to archive show assets and production materials in line with studio policy.
- Attend retake sessions with the production manager, take notes, and distribute those notes to the vendor studio and internal team.
- Assist with event planning and crew activities as needed.
- Partner with production leadership to ensure storyboards are conformed, key dates remain on schedule, standards-and-practices and legal notes are addressed, and executive creative feedback is reviewed and implemented.
- Communicate production delays or risks to the production manager and AP/LP as needed.
- Carry out additional duties assigned by TVA leadership in accordance with studio policies and procedures.
- Enter artwork into the Insight database and maintain tracking for characters, props, and location designs.
- Create, share, and maintain episode design lists from storyboard stage through shipping.
- Prepare and send complete digital episode shipping packages to the vendor studio.
- Confirm receipt of materials and follow up on questions or issues raised by the vendor studio.
- Prepare and distribute materials for in-house, freelance, and daily-call artists.
- Work with artistic leadership to make sure the team has what it needs to complete weekly assignments and escalate issues when necessary.
Technical and Professional Skills
The coordinator should be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment, handling several priorities at once, and communicating clearly with multiple stakeholders. Strong administrative, tracking, and coordination skills are essential, along with familiarity with animation production workflows and common studio tools.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in animated television series production.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in a busy, deadline-driven setting.
- A positive, adaptable approach to work.
- Strong organization, verbal communication, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort using Mac or PC systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Final Draft.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop.
- Familiarity with SAP and Concur.
Education
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, although equivalent professional experience may also be considered.

This position is fully onsite in Glendale, California.
Compensation and Benefits
The hiring range for this California role is $52,700 to $72,300 per year. The actual base salary offered may differ based on internal equity, the candidate’s location, and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be included. The overall compensation package can additionally feature medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the level and role offered.
