Role Overview

The Production Assistant will support the production team in managing calendars, tracking samples, coordinating with factories, and keeping product development and production processes moving on schedule. This role requires close communication across internal teams and overseas vendors, along with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the T&A calendar and seasonal milestones, and flag delays to the Manager or Director when necessary.
  • Communicate with overseas factories each day to resolve production issues and ensure approved production feedback is carried out.
  • Review the WIP report daily and keep a close eye on upcoming milestone dates; escalate any slipping timelines to the manager.
  • Track PPS and TOP samples, keep the TD team informed so weekly fitting coordination can happen, and add new fit samples to the Master Fit List.
  • Update master care and content label wording on product labels and share the revisions with Sales and E-commerce.
  • Organize and maintain the sample closet.
  • Receive and check in inbound production samples each day.
  • Help the team ship weekly samples and submissions to overseas factories.

Skills, Qualities & Behaviors

The role calls for a bachelor’s degree, at least 1 year of experience in development or production, and preferably prior exposure to overseas production. The candidate should be able to coordinate across multiple departments, communicate clearly, analyze information effectively, stay highly organized, and work with urgency while juggling multiple tasks. Strong ownership, prioritization, adaptability, strong written and verbal communication, proficiency in MS Office especially Excel and Outlook, and familiarity with RLM are preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience in development or production.
  • Overseas production experience is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and analytical ability to serve as a link between multiple teams.
  • High attention to detail, strong computer literacy, and the ability to manage several tasks at once.
  • Strong sense of urgency and dependable follow-through.
  • Ability to organize priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing business needs while still meeting deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Preferred system knowledge: RLM.
