Product & Tool Design Engineer

Overview

Seeking an experienced professional skilled in designing tools, dies, fixtures, and product components to join our engineering team in Nashik, Maharashtra. The role involves comprehensive design activities including preparing 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings, applying key design standards, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop detailed tool, die, fixture, and product component designs.
• Utilize CAD software such as CATIA, Creo, or SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drawing preparation.
• Incorporate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards in all designs.
• Produce and release accurate production drawings and associated documentation.
• Carry out engineering design revisions and implement necessary changes effectively.
• Collaborate closely with production, tool room, and quality assurance teams to execute design plans.
• Support testing and validation of tools and products during trial phases and further development.
• Ensure that designs align with manufacturing capabilities, maintain quality, and meet cost objectives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency with 3D CAD software: CATIA, Creo, and SolidWorks.
• Experience in tool and product design, including preparation of 2D and 3D drawings.
• Strong understanding and application of DFM and GD&T standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes relevant to tooling and product fabrication.
• Ability to manage design change processes and documentation release workflows.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 5 to 6 years of professional experience in tool, product, or manufacturing design.
• Hands-on experience with tools, fixtures, dies, molds, or precision manufacturing environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to work independently while coordinating with various functional teams.

Compensation

The monthly salary range offered for this position is between 30,000 and 40,000 INR.
