Position Overview
Join Porsche Design of America as a Product Marketing Manager to drive the expansion of their accessories line inspired by Porsche vehicles, focusing on lifestyle products tailored for the U.S. market. This role involves supplier coordination, compliance with local regulations, and collaboration with global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow the Porsche accessories division by introducing vehicle-themed lifestyle products, overseeing supplier relationships, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
- Monitor current market trends to generate innovative product concepts and curate collections for the U.S. consumer base.
- Collaborate regularly with Porsche's headquarters teams in Germany to align product strategies.
- Identify and work with local suppliers to handle product design, sampling, quality checks, and legal compliance.
- Conduct profitability evaluations including margin analysis, quality control, and logistics management, ensuring budget adherence and timely project execution.
- Partner with the local marketing team to support product launches, brand events, and retailer marketing campaigns to boost brand visibility.
- Execute other duties as assigned to support business objectives.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree mandatory; a Master’s degree in Marketing, Product Management, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
- A minimum of four years’ relevant experience in product management within apparel or luxury goods industries.
- Established vendor network within U.S. fashion manufacturing, with emphasis on California-based partners.
- Strong insight into consumer trends and lifestyle culture.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships.
- Skilled negotiator capable of managing complex processes and challenges.
- Creative thinker with a strategic, hands-on approach and a proactive mindset.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and commercial acumen.
- Proficiency with IT tools including Outlook, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Dynamics 365.
- Well-organized, adept at time management, and accustomed to working under tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, independent, and structured in managing tasks.
- Team-oriented with adaptability to dynamic scenarios and diverse colleagues.
- Proficiency in German is beneficial but not mandatory.
Principal Reporting
Reports directly to the Head of Marketing & PR at Porsche Design of America, with a dotted line to the Head of Product Management at PLX.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on location and individual qualifications. Eligible candidates may receive a discretionary performance bonus.
