Role Overview

The full-time, on-site Product Manager position based in Nairobi County involves managing the entire product lifecycle—from the initial discovery and requirements gathering stage through to launch and ongoing enhancements. Daily duties include setting the product vision and roadmap, prioritizing feature development, coordinating with teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and operations, and ensuring the timely release of superior quality products.

The individual will engage in market and user research, analyze data to inform product decisions, develop business cases, and monitor product success against key performance indicators (KPIs). The role also entails effectively communicating product strategies and progress to stakeholders, supporting go-to-market initiatives, and continuously improving products based on feedback and insights.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven expertise in product management or a closely related domain, including overseeing end-to-end product lifecycles and roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort in working with data, metrics, and applying insights to product decisions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting user research, gathering requirements, and documenting functional specifications or user stories.
  • Familiarity with agile or similar modern product development methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Trello.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline; advanced degrees or product management certifications are advantageous.
  • Ability to work on-site in Nairobi County, exhibiting strong organizational skills and a high degree of ownership and responsibility.
  • Experience within technology sectors, SaaS, or digital products is desirable; understanding of local and regional markets is an added benefit.
