Job description

About the company

The team is developing a modern operating platform for accounting firms. The product brings together email handling, vendor invoice workflows, bank reconciliation, fixed asset tracking, journal entries, and period-end closing inside one integrated system. The company is expanding quickly and already connects with major accounting tools such as QuickBooks Online and Zoho.

Role overview

This position owns product direction across a large, connected AI-driven platform. It is not limited to a single feature area; instead, it involves coordinating multiple modules, balancing user requirements with engineering complexity, and helping deliver software that accounting teams can depend on daily.

What the role involves

  • Lead product work across several interconnected modules within the platform.
  • Shape solutions that serve accounting workflows end to end.
  • Work closely with engineering and founders to turn complex problems into shippable product plans.
  • Support the development of AI-enabled features and evaluate how well they perform in real scenarios.
  • Account for integrations, data synchronization, and edge cases across external systems.

Candidate profile

  • At least 4 years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS.
  • Background in FinTech, accounting software, or financial operations products.
  • Exposure to email and communication workflows, including Outlook-style integrations and approval paths.
  • Understanding of vendor management processes such as invoice handling, credits, and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with financial close activities, including bank reconciliation, fixed assets, journal entries, chart of accounts, and period close.
  • Comfort working with third-party integrations and related concepts such as OAuth, sync, duplicate handling, and conflict resolution across systems like QuickBooks Online or Zoho.
  • Experience with AI-based products, especially document extraction, automation, or LLM-supported workflows.
  • Ability to assess AI feature quality, including prompt behavior, model output quality, and uncommon edge cases.
  • Strong written communication skills for documenting requirements and aligning teams.
  • Capability to convert accounting workflows into practical, clear product specifications.

Why consider this role

  • High ownership across a complete AI product rather than a narrowly scoped feature.
  • Direct collaboration with founders and the engineering team.
  • The product solves real operational problems for active accounting firms.
  • Compensation includes a competitive salary plus equity.

Application note

Applicants are asked to share their CV along with a brief note about a FinTech or accounting product they have worked on and what they would change in hindsight.

Additional context

The company builds specifically for accounting firms, and the role may especially appeal to someone who has experienced the challenges of a difficult accounting close process.
