Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is posted through a partner hiring process, with the partner company handling applications and all follow-up steps. The employer is seeking a Product Manager located in Canada.

The role blends fintech product thinking, platform strategy, and enterprise-grade delivery. You will help shape and improve complex payment products that operate at scale.

In this position, you will take ownership of a specific part of a payments platform and guide it from early discovery through launch and ongoing optimization. Success in the role depends on strong product judgment, analytical thinking, and comfort working through ambiguity in a fast-moving growth environment.

You will partner with engineering, design, compliance, and client-facing teams to turn business needs into clear product requirements that can be built and delivered effectively.

A major focus of the job is understanding how money movement systems function and designing solutions that fit within regulated payment environments. You will define success measures, make roadmap choices, and ensure the work delivered creates meaningful business value.

This is a high-autonomy role where outcomes are prioritized over activity, and where your decisions will have a direct effect on platform scale and client outcomes.

Key accountabilities

  • Take ownership of the roadmap and delivery for a defined product area, keeping it aligned with business goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive product discovery by speaking with clients and stakeholders, framing problems clearly, and confirming opportunities before development begins.
  • Create detailed product requirements, acceptance criteria, and decision records that help engineering, design, and delivery teams execute effectively.
  • Rank features and initiatives by weighing business value, risk, scope, and timelines while explaining trade-offs clearly.
  • Work closely with engineering and design from ideation to launch to support feasibility, quality, and smooth delivery.
  • Set product success metrics, monitor performance, and use data to decide what to iterate, improve, or deprioritize.
  • Handle stakeholder expectations across internal teams and clients by maintaining clarity, alignment, and realistic commitments.
  • Build regulatory and compliance needs such as PCI DSS, KYC/AML, and card network rules into product planning from the start.
  • Support implementation and client success teams so features are scalable, operationally sound, and practical in real-world use.
  • Improve product workflows, discovery methods, and delivery practices across the wider product organization.
  • Spot risks early and raise them proactively to reduce delivery, compliance, or client-impact issues.
  • Keep up with fintech and payments trends to identify opportunities for innovation and platform enhancement.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of product management experience, ideally in B2B, platform, fintech, or enterprise software settings.
  • Demonstrated success in shipping products or features that create measurable business or customer impact.
  • Strong product discovery capability, including problem definition, validation, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to explain decisions and trade-offs to different audiences.
  • Comfort working with technical topics such as APIs, system architecture, and platform limitations.
  • A strong analytical approach with experience using data and product metrics to guide choices.
  • Ability to work independently in changing, ambiguous environments with evolving priorities.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, design, sales, and operations.
  • Experience in payments, banking, or regulated financial environments is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, and KYC/AML, along with enterprise client expectations, is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.

Benefits

  • Fully remote arrangement available across Canada.
  • Competitive pay package matched to experience and impact.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Paid time off plus support for work-life balance.
  • Strong opportunities for professional development, mentoring, and learning.
  • High-ownership position with direct influence on product and customer outcomes.
  • Exposure to advanced fintech and payment infrastructure systems.
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and growth-focused workplace culture.
