Product Manager - ERP Systems

Role overview

Silver Fern Farms is hiring a Product Manager to take end-to-end ownership of its ERP environment as the business shifts from implementation into a continuous improvement phase. The position is focused on improving core systems so they create measurable business value, support growth, and enable better performance across the organisation.

Systems in scope

You will guide the direction and priorities for a portfolio of business-critical platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations for finance, inventory, and warehouse management; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement for CRM and supplier management; and other enterprise tools, such as the Oracle HCM system.

These systems support essential functions across Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Inventory, Warehousing, and People & Culture.

Key duties

Working with business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and end users, you will help make sure investment choices align with the organisation’s strategy and deliver practical outcomes.

• Create and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the ERP landscape.
• Assess and rank initiatives by business value, user needs, and technical impact.
• Convert business needs into clear product initiatives focused on outcomes.
• Work with stakeholders to understand pain points and identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with internal technology teams and external vendors to deliver robust solutions.
• Promote adoption, optimisation, and ongoing enhancement across the ERP ecosystem.
• Ensure short-term needs are balanced with long-term platform health and sustainability.

Background and experience

The employer is open to people from several professional backgrounds, including Product Management, Business Analysis, Functional Consulting, or business leadership. The key requirement is strong ERP knowledge and a genuine interest in using technology to improve business results.

• Experience with ERP platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar enterprise system.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing ability.
• Comfort turning complex business requirements into workable technology solutions.
• Experience handling competing priorities and maintaining roadmaps.
• A strategic outlook paired with a hands-on delivery focus.
• A strong interest in continuous improvement and value creation.
