Role overview
YouTrip is hiring a Product Manager to join the Product team and work on the core platform that supports key user, transaction, and operational capabilities. The role suits someone with 1 to 4 years of experience who is technically curious and interested in understanding how a fintech product works from end to end.
You will focus on one major problem area at a time, taking ownership of meaningful product scope while learning how the platform, internal teams, and external partners connect. The work covers customer-facing journeys, internal tooling, and backend systems that must remain accurate, dependable, and scalable. This position reports to the Director of Product Management and works closely with engineering, operations, finance, risk, compliance, and customer support.
Key responsibilities
- Lead product work within a core platform area from identifying the problem through delivery and ongoing improvements.
- Convert business, operational, and regulatory needs into detailed product requirements and system flows.
- Collaborate with engineers on backend-focused systems, APIs, integrations, data movement, and edge cases.
- Strengthen reliability, correctness, and scalability across transaction journeys, internal workflows, and control mechanisms.
- Work with internal stakeholders to cut down manual effort, lower operational risk, and prevent user-facing issues.
- Help manage integrations with external vendors and partners while keeping expectations and ownership clear.
- Contribute to roadmap decisions, backlog ranking, and sequencing while considering dependencies and trade-offs.
- Establish and monitor metrics such as system accuracy, turnaround time, failure rates, and user impact.
- Create thorough documentation, including product requirements, workflows, and system diagrams.
Requirements
- At least 1 to 4 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a similar discipline.
- Comfort with technically complex or backend-heavy products.
- Ability to understand workflows that span engineering, operations, finance, and risk functions.
- A curious mindset with the ability to learn quickly and work confidently in ambiguous, constrained, or regulated settings.
- Comfort working with engineers and exploring system behaviour, data, and failure scenarios in depth.
- A structured approach to problem-solving, with the ability to turn messy issues into practical solutions.
- Strong written communication and an appreciation for clear, useful documentation.
- A collaborative, low-ego mindset with strong ownership and follow-through.
- Bonus exposure to fintech, payments, financial systems, or regulated products.
- Bonus experience with internal tools, operational platforms, or system integrations.
- Bonus familiarity with risk, compliance, fraud, or control-related product work.
- Bonus technical background or strong ease working with backend systems.
Why join YouTrip
- Work on core systems that shape user experience, money movement, and platform trust.
- Gain wide exposure to important product areas early in your career.
- Learn how high-performing product teams operate inside a rapidly growing fintech.
- Take on meaningful ownership, with visible impact and close collaboration with senior product and engineering leaders.
- Build depth in a core area over time as your strengths develop.
