Job description

Role Overview

SANY Crane is looking for a Product Manager to guide crane product planning and execution at its Aichtal, Baden-Württemberg location. The role focuses on shaping product direction through market research, lifecycle ownership, cross-team coordination, launch preparation, performance monitoring, and compliance support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Study the market, competitors, and user requirements to define product strategy, positioning, and a mid-to-long-term roadmap.
  • Own the product lifecycle from early concept through phase-out, and prepare PRDs that translate market needs into clear product definitions.
  • Work closely with R&D, design, production, testing, and other teams to move development forward on schedule while meeting quality and cost goals.
  • Plan product launches and go-to-market activities, and equip sales teams with training and supporting materials to improve market adoption.
  • Track product performance and user feedback, then use data-backed insights to refine features and plan new versions.
  • Partner with Regulatory Affairs to make sure products meet certification expectations in target markets, including CE and ISO requirements, while managing compliance risk.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management or R&D within the construction machinery industry, with crane product experience required.
  • Strong understanding of construction machinery product development workflows and solid technical comprehension.
  • Good ability to analyze markets, interpret data, and apply sound business reasoning.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and project leadership skills in cross-border or cross-functional settings.
