About ArcadeXR
ArcadeXR offers Arcade Online, a live platform where users control authentic arcade machines remotely to win real prizes and play exclusive digital titles. Each physical game undergoes a developmental transformation to connect the arcade cabinet with the online system, enabling remote play, continuous 24-hour availability, and optimized player experience through camera interfaces. This adaptation process ranges from simple adjustments to complex electrical and mechanical engineering tasks.
Role Overview
The Product Development Manager will oversee the comprehensive process of integrating electromechanical arcade games into the Arcade Online platform—from initial procurement or conceptualization through to successful launch. This leadership position requires strong operational oversight combined with technical insight, guiding a cross-functional team spanning electrical and mechanical engineering, fabrication, visual design, user experience, procurement, and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project timelines for onboarding electromechanical games and internal game development initiatives.
- Coordinate activities across multiple disciplines including electrical/mechanical engineering, fabrication, art, and procurement.
- Detect and mitigate technical, logistical, or resource-related obstacles promptly.
- Set achievable launch milestones and take accountability for meeting those targets.
- Ensure all games meet high standards for operational quality and reliability, functioning consistently in continuous 24-hour remote operation.
- Maintain player experience excellence by overseeing game visibility, controls, displays, lighting, and UX compliance with platform standards.
- Innovate by prototyping novel gameplay mechanics and iterating on unique arcade gaming experiences not previously available.
- Drive ongoing enhancements to onboarding workflows to decrease cycle times, increase predictability, and foster process repeatability.
Candidate Requirements
- Solid project management background within technical, hardware, or engineering contexts.
- Substantive expertise in at least one discipline: electrical/electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial/product design enabling credible team engagement.
- Capability to formulate realistic schedules, manage interdependencies, and ensure team accountability without micro-management.
- Comfortable working in environments with evolving processes and motivated to establish clear procedures.
- Keen awareness of quality control and player experience nuances relevant to remote-play arcade games.
- Strong communication skills tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail, while retaining focus on overarching objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in amusement, attractions, location-based entertainment, or arcade hardware industries.
- Background in embedded systems, custom electronics, or electromechanical fabrication.
- Familiarity with camera-operated or remote control systems.
- Experience handling procurement and vendor management.
Performance Milestones (Within 12 Months)
- Substantially decrease average onboarding times and consistently meet deadlines.
- Develop and implement a documented, standardized onboarding process adopted by the team.
- Eliminate existing onboarding backlogs for games.
- Establish robust quality and reliability benchmarks supporting nonstop operation.
- Become the principal operational lead for electromechanical game development, widely trusted to deliver results.
