Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for a Product Designer in Canada, working for a partner company that handles all applications and hiring steps directly. The position is centered on building clear, high-impact product experiences that improve activation, retention, and long-term engagement within a sophisticated SaaS product.
You will be responsible for designing complete user journeys that make complex multi-user and multi-tenant workflows easier to understand and use, while keeping the product consistent, scalable, and easy to navigate. The role is not limited to visual polish; it also requires strong problem-solving ability, systems thinking, and a data-driven approach to design decisions.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data teams to convert customer needs and business objectives into smooth, measurable experiences. A major part of the work will involve improving onboarding, monetization, billing, and payment-related flows. This is a practical, hands-on role that relies on rapid iteration, experimentation, user feedback, and continuous product improvement in a fast-moving, collaborative environment focused on product-led growth.
Key responsibilities
- Build simple, scalable experiences for complicated multi-tenant structures, permission sets, and role-based access patterns.
- Design different workflow paths for different user groups while preserving a unified and consistent product feel.
- Strengthen growth and monetization journeys, including activation, onboarding, paywalls, feature adoption, and upgrade paths.
- Lower friction in important areas such as invoicing, recurring billing, payments, and account administration.
- Work with Marketing on in-app messaging, lifecycle communication, and growth-focused experiments.
- Collaborate with Product and Data teams to shape hypotheses, run experiments, and improve designs using performance insights.
- Turn complex product problems into straightforward, user-focused solutions that improve understanding, trust, and conversion.
- Help maintain and extend a scalable design system while protecting consistency and usability across the product.
- Partner with Engineering to confirm feasibility, maintain implementation quality, and preserve design intent through releases.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of product design experience for web products and/or SaaS applications.
- A strong portfolio showing UX thinking, UI quality, and measurable product outcomes.
- Background in designing onboarding, activation, retention, or monetization flows in product-led growth settings.
- Good understanding of user behavior, experimentation, and data-informed design choices.
- Strong working knowledge of Figma and experience using established design systems.
- Comfort moving from rough concepts to polished, production-ready designs.
- Experience working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other cross-functional partners in agile teams.
- Strong ability to define problems and simplify complicated workflows into scalable solutions.
- Bonus: exposure to subscription products, payments, pricing experiments, or multi-user and multi-tenant systems.
- Bonus: familiarity with small-business or service-based users and workflow-heavy products.
Benefits
- Competitive pay aligned to experience and market standards, with a target base salary range of CAD $105,000 to $115,000.
- Flexible working options, including remote, hybrid, or office-based arrangements depending on location and preference.
- Annual wellness stipend plus broader wellness benefits.
- Flexible time off, along with a paid volunteer day and floating holidays.
- Employee Stock Purchase Program.
- Registered Retirement Savings Plan with company matching.
- Opportunities to grow professionally in a product-led and innovation-focused setting.
- A collaborative distributed team spanning North America and international locations.
