Job description
About the company
Agoda is a global travel platform founded in 2005 by two friends and entrepreneurs who wanted to make travel more accessible. Now part of Booking Holdings, the company brings together more than 7,000 employees from 90 countries across offices worldwide, helping travelers discover hotels, holiday homes, flights, and experiences at great value.
At the center of Agoda’s culture are data, technology, curiosity, and innovation. The company focuses on making travel easier and more rewarding, with a mission to connect people and places around the world.
About the design team
The Agoda Design team is a collaborative group of product designers working from Bangkok and partnering closely with product managers and engineers. The team tackles customer problems by shaping user flows, interactions, and visual interfaces, while also contributing to product strategy. It is a hands-on environment where designers can grow their craft, expand into broader influence, and help improve travel experiences for a global audience.
What the role involves
As a Product Designer, you will work on creating product experiences that serve users across different regions and needs. The role calls for design solutions that are intuitive, accessible, and grounded in both user behavior and data. You will help improve customer experience across the platform team and contribute to cohesive, high-quality product design across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Lead discovery work and help shape product requirements.
- Validate prototypes and ideas with users, gathering insights and feedback.
- Share design work clearly with peers and leaders, both live and asynchronously.
- Participate in weekly critiques, workshops, all-hands sessions, and squad meetings.
- Document your thinking, process, and design decisions in writing.
- Promote consistency and coherence across UX for an expanding product ecosystem.
- Contribute strategic thinking at the intersection of design, business, content, and technology.
Experience and capabilities expected
- You should have at least 3 years of experience working as a Product Designer, supported by a strong user-centered portfolio.
- You are comfortable leading discovery and ideation sessions with other design partners and aligning teams around a shared direction.
- You have experience designing complex flows and end-to-end customer journeys.
- You think beyond individual screens and can approach problems as part of a larger system.
- You use strong interpersonal skills such as listening, negotiation, and decision-making in your day-to-day work.
- You can manage several priorities and still deliver effectively in a fast-moving environment.
Designer qualities valued by Agoda
- Clear communication of ideas and design solutions.
- Giving and receiving feedback with openness, tact, and respect.
- Comfort with uncertainty and a naturally curious mindset.
- Ability to turn quantitative and qualitative insights into practical design choices.
- Positive contribution to team culture through motivation, optimism, quality, and integrity.
Nice to have
- Prior work experience with an online travel agency.
