Role Overview

The initial launch of software is straightforward, but transforming it from functional to exceptional demands a designer obsessed with precision. We seek a design professional passionate about interaction and aesthetics, who meticulously attends to details that elevate user experience, and can work swiftly without sacrificing quality. This position also involves innovating interaction models for emerging AI-driven, agentic features where traditional interfaces evolve.

Location

Applicants must presently reside in the U.S. Employees are not obligated to work onsite or relocate to Lincoln, Nebraska, but are welcome to visit headquarters up to 10 days annually on the company's expense.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle design for key product segments, from initial concepts to refined final products.
• Employ strong skills in interaction design, visual layout, and information architecture to address real-world contractor challenges.
• Develop and define novel interaction styles for agentic AI experiences beyond conventional screen-based interfaces.
• Create sketches, prototypes, and conduct tests at various fidelity stages to validate design choices promptly.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to align objectives and ensure high-quality delivery at a rapid pace.
• Clearly articulate design rationale and actively engage in feedback and critiques.
• Contribute to maintaining a consistent, scalable, and functional design system.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years in Product Design, preferably with experience delivering complex SaaS features.
• Demonstrated expertise and a strong sense of what constitutes excellent design.
• Proficient in interaction and visual design across desktop, mobile, and new AI-based platforms.
• Adept at balancing speed and attention to fine detail.
• Experience managing design processes end-to-end, from broad system planning to micro-interaction nuances.
• Skilled in prototyping to communicate concepts effectively.
• Solid grasp of user-centered design principles applied skillfully.
• Experience working collaboratively across product and engineering teams.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design approaches.
• Enthusiastic about integrating AI into design workflows and creating AI-participant product experiences.
• Self-motivated with strong ownership and autonomy.

Compensation and Benefits

This salaried role offers a starting pay range of $125,000 to $165,000 annually, commensurate with background and experience. Equity incentives and additional benefits are available.
