Job description

Role overview

Medstrom is hiring a Product Cleaner for its Cardiff, South Wales service centre. The position suits a hands-on, customer-minded person who brings a positive approach and, ideally, holds a clean driving licence. The aim of the role is to help prepare company products efficiently so they can reach patients without delay.

What you will do

Working from the Cardiff site, you will handle the cleaning, upkeep, and preparation of products for use across Wales and the South. You will follow established quality standards while ensuring equipment is cleaned, checked, and ready for the internal technical team to install at customer locations.

  • Clean, inspect, and carry out minor repairs on products so they are ready for deployment.
  • Track stock levels for products and spare parts.
  • Work in line with internal and external quality requirements.
  • Hit daily targets for product preparation.
  • Support field technicians by providing timely and appropriate assistance.
  • Carry out and document electrical safety checks during the work process; full training will be provided.
  • Keep the work area tidy and compliant.
  • Prepare daily and weekly activity reports.
  • Maintain accurate records in the relevant IT systems.

Working pattern

This is a 37.5-hour per week role. Shift timings will be arranged and discussed during the interview.

What you need

You do not need every qualification listed below, but the following would be helpful:

  • Some understanding of hygiene and safety practices.
  • Basic computer literacy, including email and Microsoft Office.
  • A full driving licence, which would help support the wider team, though this is not mandatory because the role is site-based.
  • An electrical safety testing qualification or certificate, though full training is available if you do not already have one.

Personal attributes

  • Ability to work independently and follow company procedures to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and can-do mindset.

Benefits

  • Starting salary of £24,784.50 per year.
  • Company pension contribution scheme.
  • 33 days of annual leave.
  • Full induction plus strong training and ongoing support from the dedicated training team.
  • Discounts and cashback offers on shopping, groceries, and holidays.
  • Salary sacrifice options, including Cycle to Work.
  • Birthday treat provided.
  • Death in service cover.
  • Opportunity to be part of an Employee Ownership Trust, with a stake in the business and its success.
