Job description
About the role
This position is for experienced quantitative professionals who can help improve AI systems by reviewing, solving, and explaining data-driven and technical work. You will collaborate with advanced AI models on tasks such as checking AI-produced quantitative analyses, working through technical problems, and giving feedback that improves how these systems reason about data, models, and scientific questions.
The work is well suited to people with backgrounds in areas like data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, or other quantitative disciplines. If you are comfortable thinking rigorously about data and models, your experience can translate well to this role. Some contributors use this as a side engagement alongside another full-time job, while others make it their primary focus.
How the process works
After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the selection step. Candidates who pass receive a confirmation email, after which paid tasks become available on the platform.
Key responsibilities
- Review AI-generated quantitative outputs for correctness and practical relevance, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, scientific reasoning, and data-backed conclusions.
- Create and solve quantitative problems that help train and evaluate AI systems in areas such as forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
- Prepare concise technical write-ups and maintain clear, well-structured analytical code.
- Share feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI models focused on quantitative reasoning.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative role or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related field.
- Some programming experience is required, along with the ability to write and review analytical code end to end.
- Working knowledge of statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and experiment design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
- Strong English fluency at a native or bilingual level, plus solid writing ability.
- A bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar field is preferred; a master's degree or PhD is an added advantage.
- Additional proof of expertise is beneficial, such as a strong Kaggle ranking, AWS or GCP machine learning certifications, or comparable credentials.
Contract and payment details
This is an independent contractor role. Work is paid hourly, beginning at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, and some projects may offer bonus pay. Payment is processed through PayPal, which also handles any currency conversion from USD. You will never be asked to pay any money to participate.
Work style and flexibility
You can choose the projects you want to take on and decide when you work. The role is designed so you can complete tasks on your own schedule, using your own computer, from the comfort of your home.
Location and eligibility
Applications are considered only from candidates in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
Employment note
This opportunity is offered as an independent contractor arrangement rather than a traditional employee position.
